A living history of the Rhode Island Labor Movement.

New Episode

Erica Hammond sits down with both Jessica Lachey, Strategic Events Manager and Program Officer of the Young Leaders Circle at United Way of Rhode Island and Maria Marroquin a Member and the Community Engagement Chair of the Young Leaders Circle (YLC). YLC began thirteen years ago with a group of 200 members, and it has since grown to over 1800. The ever-growing network of young professionals is the largest of it’s kind in the state, and throughout this segment Lachey and Marroquin highlight exactly what it is that sets it apart from the others. The pair identify the 3-pilars of membership; Professional Development, Community Engagement, and Fundraising, as well as the many ways members are engaging with the rest of Rhode Island to make it a better place to live and work for everyone.

Don’t miss their fundraiser coming up on Saturday, April 22nd at the Misquamicut Drive-In Movie Theater.
